Bookworms Book Club 

A monthly book club for children aged 5-12 which includes sharing stories and interacting with books. Each session is themed and involves a craft or activity and lots of fun! One Wednesday afternoon a month at 4 - 4.45pm

Storytime Logo


It’s never too early to introduce your children to the wonder and magic of reading. Our Story Time sessions are designed to teach young children about the joy and beauty of books through stories, songs and craft. For ages 2-5. 10am every second Tuesday during school term at Nowra Library, 11am every second Tuesday during school term at Ulladulla Library. Visit our events & programs calendar for dates and details.

Can’t get to the library? Did you know we can bring Storytime to you? Our Outreach Storytime program is perfect for pre-schools, playgroups and kindergartens that can’t make it to our library Storytimes. We will bring stories, songs and craft to you! Contact the library to book a time.

Music, rhyme and repetition for 0- 18 months. Every second Thursday at 10am during school term.


Paws 'n' Tales Logo Paws 'n' Tales

Paws 'n’ Tales is an exciting new reading program for children aged 4 to 8 years. Reading to a friendly trained dog increases confidence, self-esteem and literacy skills in children, and helps them to discover the joy of reading. Based on the successful Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program, Paws’n’Tales is the first affiliated R.E.A.D. group in Australia! Reading Rewards 
Collect your card and start reading. One stamp for every time you borrow at the library. Collect ten stamps for a reward!

Story Telling Morning 
Stories and craft for children of all ages. 10:00am on the first Monday of each month (except public holidays)

Regular Childrens' Programs at Ulladulla Library 

Music, rhyme and repetition for 0-2 years.
10:30 am on the second Thursday of each month. 

Books, songs and craft for 2-5 year olds
11:00am on the second Thursday of each month (after Rhymetime) 



Paws 'n' Tales

Paws 'N' Tales is an innovative and award-winning reading program for children aged 4 to 8 years of age who have literacy issues. Based on the successful R.E.A.D (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program in America, Paws 'N' Tales is the first affiliated group in Australia. Paws 'N' Tales is currently running at Nowra Library, where trained volunteer teams are providing weekly sessions for children. 

The program aims to improve participants' communication skills and confidence by reading aloud to a well-trained dog.
