Join the Bay and Basin Citizen Science Club at Nowra Library for an informative talk about their impactful work. The club's mission is to understand the interactions between human activities and the natural environment in the Bay and Basin area. They aim to build knowledge and community support to maintain and improve the natural environment for future generations.
Citizen science involves the public actively participating and collaborating in scientific research. Anyone can be a 'citizen scientist' by making observations, collecting and recording data, building new skills, and contributing to scientific knowledge.
Currently, the club is working on two key initiatives: monitoring and collecting data from local waterways, and monitoring and recording microplastics pollution on the Jervis Bay shoreline. This talk at Nowra Library will provide insights into these projects and how you can get involved. Come and learn how you can contribute to preserving our precious marine and coastal environments.
