Young Adults

If you are aged between 12 and 18, Shoalhaven Libraries offer loads of resources to help you meet new people, try a new activity or support your studies. Come on in and relax, have fun, learn, get help and access our awesome range of free stuff! School holiday events, WiFi, educational resources, Inklings Young Writers group, computers and more, all free and yours to use!

We have many resources available at the library that are targeted for youth:

  • Youth Fiction: Extensive range of title for young adults
  • Youth Non-Fiction: Collection with a focus on lifestyle
  • HSC Collection: Study guides, exam papers, set texts and infocus article service
  • School Certificate Collection: Study guides for School Certificate
  • Magazines: Wide range of titles including SLAM, Waves, Dolly, Frankie and Dance Train
  • Audiobooks: Listen to books on disc

We also offer a range of services including:

  • HSC workshops
  • Readers' advisory
  • Youth Week, which is an annual event with fun activities.

Inklings is a creative writing group for young adults aged 11-18 yrs. Inklings meet on the last Wednesday of the month at Nowra Library. 
Our meetings are relaxed and fun, so if you have a story to tell, love to write, or just want to know more about writing, come along! We would love to see you there!
