Bidhiinja: Restoring Our Oyster Reefs Exhibition

Bidhiinja Exhibition Art by Tim Pascoe

Bidhiinja: restoring our oyster reefs is a new exhibition developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum in collaboration with NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI). Bidhiinja tells the forgotten history of oyster reefs in New South Wales and the work underway to restore these important ecosystems.

This beautiful exhibition combines First Nations knowledge, western science, and design, including illustrations by exhibition artist and Yaegl woman, Frances Belle Parker.

To celebrate this exhibition, we are running a drawing competition! Draw an underwater scene to win a Family Pass to the Australian National Maritime Museum. The competition is open for ALL AGES and will close on the 2nd of May 2024. Pick up your entry form at Ulladulla Library. Winner announced on 3rd May by lucky draw!

Bidhiinja: restoring our oyster reefs is on display at Ulladulla Library and Visitor Information Centre from 7 March until 2 May.

Entry to the exhibition is free.
