Build a Recycled Robot Competition

Celebrate National Recycling Week by getting creative and building your very own robot from recycled materials!

Raid the recycling bin and let your imagination run wild. Create a little robot using recycled materials and enter it for your chance to win a $50 book voucher.

National Recycling Week is an initiative of Planet Ark that has been educating and empowering Australians to get recycling right since 1996.

How to enter

Pick up an entry form from your local Shoalhaven Libraries branch, then get building!

• Competition opens: Monday 12th October
• Entries close: 5pm, Friday 6th November
• Prize: $50 book voucher

Completed robots and entry forms can be submitted at Nowra, Ulladulla or Sanctuary Point Library.

Conditions of entry

• Open to Shoalhaven Libraries Junior Members aged 3 to 12 years.
• Robots must be made from recycled materials.
• Robots must be no larger than 50cm x 50cm.
• All entries must be the entrant's own work.
• Entries must be clearly marked with the entrant's name and age.
• Entry forms must include a parent or guardian's signature.
• Entries must be received at Nowra, Ulladulla or Sanctuary Point Library by 5pm Friday 6 November.
• Please note that entries may be photographed and shared on Shoalhaven Libraries' social media channels.
• Competition winners will be notified on Monday 16th November.
• There will be one winner per branch.
