Shoalhaven Libraries is celebrating National Science Week with the launch of our new Birdwatching Kits!
To celebrate National Science Week (15 to 23 August), we will be launching our new kits to help you discover the incredible birdlife of the Shoalhaven. Each kit contains binoculars, field guides and information resources to help you identify local species and build your birdwatching skills. Children's kits also include a special picture book and fun activities such as Bird Bingo.
Whether you're a seasoned twitcher or simply curious about the birds in your backyard, these kits are designed to encourage exploration, citizen science and a deeper connection with nature.
To celebrate the launch, Shoalhaven Libraries will host two special events in partnership with Shoalhaven City Council's Environmental Team.
Birdwatching Events
Learn about local bird species, discover birdwatching tips and find out the best locations across the Shoalhaven to spot a diverse range of feathered friends.
These kits are thanks to Inspiring Australia NSW. This Inspiring Australia NSW initiative is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week.
